After the 5 days of not working in Vietnam, Google maps is now working again. Google hasn’t announced the reason yet. But it is said that Google Maps in Vietnam is being upgraded. At present we only can use a very limited Google Maps service in Vietnam, with no voice recognition and Google Street View functions. Hope that Vietnamese users will be able to experience those features soon in the near future.

From 13/5/2012 Google maps service stops working in Vietnam. We can still see the maps on smart phones but we just can not get the directions. Google hasn’t announced the reason yet.

If you try to use Google Maps on your smart phone (Android smart phones, iPad, iPhone, any tablet..), you just can not get the directions. No one knows the reasons now. Google just blocked direction API in Vietnam and still has not announced the reason. Now Vietnam is one of the 56 countries that Google maps is not available.
